DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HANOI

Pick you up at airport and transfer you to hotel in Hanoi. Your leisure for walking around, shopping.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR (B,L)

After having breakfast the tour guide and shuttle bus will arrive to pick up you to join Hanoi city tour at 8.30am. You will start the tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-palace. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts where he used to live in the past. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, built by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi.

Continue to visit the Temper of Literature (Quoc Tu Giam) – Vietnam’s first University constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Have lunch at local restaurants. Proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum. After that we will take you to Hoan Kiem Lake, see the peaceful water, and visit Ngoc Son Temple.

17.30: Back to your hotel. It’s your free time now to have dinner and a short while to explore the streets of Hanoi.

DAY 3:  HANOI – MAI CHAU  ( B, L, D)

Mai Chau is a mountainous area of outstanding natural beauty, inhabited by a Thai and H’mong ethnic minority groups. This trip offers an easy trekking combined with homestay in villages of Thai , where you have experienced with the local lifestyle of these minority people.

08.00: Pick up from your hotel and head west towards Hoa Binh to have refreshment.
10h00: Leave Hoa Binh for Mai Chau Valley, about 2hrs away, stop for snapping pictures.
12.00: Arrive in Mai Chau and have lunch in a family house in the local village.
14.00: Bicycle around the surrounding villages of White Thai Ethnic people. Learn more about their lives and cultures as your guide can help answer any questions.
18.00: Dinner with the family, get a closer look into their real life. Drink “ruou can” (traditional alcohol) with your new family.

Sleep in the village, in the stilt house, the most interesting part of the trip. Stilt houses are unique to Mai Chau and you cannot find this experience in other tour. You can sleep in the large communal room.

DAY 4: MAI CHAU – HANOI (B,L,D)

The early morning is the most peaceful time to walk around the villages. Feeling the fresh air and seeing women prepare foods on the wooden fire while the sun is rising over the beautiful mountains which you can not feel in the crowed cities.

7.30: Breakfast in the village then walk to Mai Chau market. After that, you will climb to 1000 step Cave which is breathtaking and is the view of the area from the entrance of the cave.
12.00: Have lunch in the village before getting on the bus back to Hanoi.
17.00: Back to Hanoi.

DAY 5: HA NOI – HA LONG BAY (B,L,D)

07.45 – 08.15 Pick up service at your hotel and depart for Ha Long city
11.45 – 12.00 At Halong city, You will board your Luxury Imperial Cruise, check into your cabin and enjoy first class lunch while you are cruising through thousand amazing islands and islet passing by Stone Dog Islet, Floating fishing Village, Incense Burner Islet, Fighting Cocks Islet…
14.45 Visit Surprising Cave ( the most beautiful one in Halong Bay)
15.45 – 18.15 Enjoy an hour or more kayaking through slide rock cliffs before swimming (weather permitted).
18.30 Board back the Cruise, take shower and relax on upper deck bar.
19.00 Enjoy a specially prepared dinner in a romantic atmosphere.
20.00 Evening activities – enjoy movie night, board games, and squid fishing or relax at leisure.

DAY 6: HA LONG BAY – HA NOI – HUE (B,L)

07:45 Breakfast, tea and coffee will be served
08:30 Start cruising to visit Van Gia floating village and passing by Halong Pearl Farm.
09:30 Keep cruising to visit Halong bay. Enjoy the cooking course after you pack your things and leave the cabin. Sail back Halong pier
12:00 Have a lunch and take a bus back to Hanoi.
16.30 Arrive in Hanoi.

DAY 7: HUE CITY TOUR (B,L)

Have breakfast at the hotel.

7.45 AM: our guide and driver pick up you at your hotel and then take a full day to discover Hue: visit Emperor Minh Mang’s Mausoleum, Emperor Khai Dinh’s Mausoleum, Performing Programs Of VO KINH VAN AN – Vietnam Traditional Kungfu and Emperor Tu Duc ’s Mausoleums. Stop on the way to see how conical hats and incense sticks are made. Enjoy buffet lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Imperial capital during Nguyen Dynasty and the seven – storey Thien Mu Pagoda on the riverbank. Return by boat on the gentle Perfume River and do not miss the sunset on the river.

5.30 PM Come back your hotel to pick up your luguage.
6.30 PM Transfer to Hoi An.

DAY 8: HOI AN – YOUR LEISURE (B)

You have free day to go around Hoi An for sight-seeing and shopping.

DAY 9: HOI AN – MY SON (B,L)

AM: Our guide picks you up at hotel and leave Hoi An for visiting My Son Holly Land – the ruins of Cham people and was an imperial city during Cham dynasty. Here you can have more chance to explore and understand of technique of Old Cham people in making red bricks to build Tower which still now a secret to everyone, you can see a large complex of religious relics that comprises more than 65 architectural works. It also surprises for those who are curious with architectural art.

In 1999, UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World Cultural Heritage Site. Moreover, you have chance to enjoy traditional music performed by Cham girls in their colorful uniforms. Then transferring you back about 30km, you will take a boat trip along the Thu Bon River to Hoi An Ancient Town. Have a light lunch. After that, go back your hotel.

DAY 10: HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR (B,L)

We will pick you up at your hotel and drive to visit to the Re-Unification Palace, the former palace of President Thieu and his predecessors. Today this building is a museum and venue for Government official receptions. Inside you can visit the President’s room. Nearby is the Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877- 1883 and is one of the city’s major landmarks. Neo-Romanesque in form, the Cathedral is the major seat of the Catholic religion in modern Vietnam.

Continue to visit the War Remains Museum, where you can learn a lot about the Vietnam War. After lunch in local restaurant, you will visit to Jade Emperor Temple, one of the oldest Chinese temples in Ho Chi Minh city. Continue to Binh Tay market in China Town and the last sight we will visit today is Ben Thanh market, where all kind of local goods are offered.

DAY 11: HCM – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (B,L)

Leave Ho Chi Minh city, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields. On arrived at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of the water coconut trees along natural canals. Have a short cycling tour (applied for private tour/if  time permitted) then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, performed by the locals. Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through fruit plantations and villages.

Proceed to Can Tho. Free time to visit bustling Can Tho market.

DAY 12: PHONG DIEN – CAI RANG (B,L)

Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong river ( Bassac River), then proceed to visit Cai Răng floating market (& Phong Dien is optional), which are the liveliest in the whole religion. Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now go and see how it is made. Then wander around the village and meet the friendly local people and experience how to cross a “Monkey bridge” which is built by only o­ne stem of bamboo. Visit the orchard garden. Stop for lunch. On the way back to HCM city by bus the last stop is to see how incense sticks are made (optional visit to Mangrove forest which was a former Viet Cong base used by the guerillas during the War can be arranged on request).

DAY 13: HO CHI MINH DEPARTURE

Your leisure until your departure for flight home. We will transfer you to airport and say goodbye to you.

End the journey.
